I would like to announce my new album – Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man
My latest ten-track album will be released the 2nd of February on all major streaming platforms.
Drawing inspiration from my early influences, those who listen to or appreciate the likes of Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens and John Lennon will probably enjoy this new release.

The Listener – solo guitar

Sometimes I just like to play the guitar. I wrote this solo guitar instrumental ”The Listener” to my son Simon. The name Simon is of Hebrew origin and means ”he who hears” or ”the listener”.
Dean Street – released

This song was written in my youth, remembering a summer spent in London. After about a month with only a few nickels and dimes remaining, the only way to prolong my stay in England was by acquiring a cheap supply of canned baked beans and chicken soup for the price of 50 pence a day.
A friend and I slept under the bushes in St. Anne’s churchyard when we couldn’t afford a place to stay. Those were the days… in Soho.

I am happy to announce that ”Emily” from the coming album ’A Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man’ is released today on all major streaming services.
”Emily” is about the long awaited coming of spring, – a song about hope when winter finally starts losing its grip. It is also a eulogy for the American 19th century poet Emily Dickinson.

A cold and chilly air is keeping the birches bare and lingers the snow on my windowsill…”

It has been a great and educative experience mastering the first eight tracks with exceptionally skilled Björn Engelmann, senior mastering engineer and owner of Cutting Room.

Mixing
January 25, 2022
An intense mixing session recently at the renowned Atlantis Studio in Stockholm with Grammy awarded mixing engineer Thomas Juth. The place is a true gem in Swedish music history and it was fantastic to use the studio’s fabulous echo chambers, echoing all those songs and sounds from the past.
Recording

I’ve been recording for about a year in order to complete a full length album. I’m almost there! It’s been so enjoyable experiencing how the songs evolve into final musical pieces. Here I am recording a solo instrumental piece with my wonderful and trusty Maton guitar.
